Geometric Rug Love

I’ve mentioned before that we’re needing to move house now we’re a family of six. To be honest, we’ve been struggling for space in our house for a while now. It’s technically only a two-bed, though Lola has the extra reception room downstairs as her bedroom. But not enough bedrooms or living space is begining to get us all down. We’re all cooped up and on-top of each other all day long. After coming back from Bluestone {and a week in a lovely spacious lodge} we decided the time was right to start house hunting. Fingers crossed we’ve found the perfect place… if all goes to plan we’ll be moving in 8 weeks ish {eeep!!}

So… being me, I’m already planning out the new house! We’ll have a lot more space, so will be putting our old sofas in the playroom and buying some new ones for the living room. I’m really excited to have a new space to decorate {and the excuse to finally go sofa shopping!!}

I’ve had my eye on these sofa’s from DFS for a while, I really love the colour! We’re undecided as whether to go for a couple of sofas or to get a corner unit.. either way I love the footstool that comes from the same range! We don’t have space at the minute for side tables, but I’m hoping to sneak one or two into my shopping basket when we move and I’m really loving this one with a colourful top!

This amber coloured lampshade is gorgeous and would add a nice pop of colour to the room. I’ve been searching for months for a rug that I really love, for some reason I’ve not been able to find just he right one until recently. We just got this one – a gorgeous white and blue chevron stripe rug. I’ve put it down in our current living space, and it’s great – the blue colour is not solid but varying tones throughout and it’s the softest fluffiest rug! So nice to walk on in bare feet…. the kiddos approve of it too! I’m tempted to pick up another one for the playroom in our new house! It feels fab, and is great quality so I think last a good long while.
