Sweet Potato Dippers

My kids love dipping their food. Whether it’s Oven Baked Fries, Crispy Fish Fingers, or BBQ Chicken in the Crock Pot, if there’s a sauce on the side to dip into they are engaged eaters. That’s why these Sweet Potato Dippers make the most irresistible, nutritious snack or side dish for both kids and adults.

My original idea for this recipe was to make stuffed sweet potato skins, but as soon as I cut them in half, instead of scooping out the flesh to make potato skins I kept them intact, added a sprinkle of Maldon sea salt and thought how tasty they would be served on their own with a simple, thick dip made from Greek yogurt, cinnamon and a touch of honey to counter the bright flavor of the potato. The dip also offers a welcome protein boost and is irresistibly tasty.

There couldn’t be an easier way to get your kids to eat good-for-you foods like sweet potatoes than by offering them a fun dip, so what are you waiting for, dip away!

Sweet Potato Dippers are even great in school lunch!
