The Ellana Minerals Eyebrow/Eyeshadow Quad in ‘Beloved, Intense, Wish & Hush’ is a multi-tasking product that you can use for both filling in your brows and doing a neutral eyeshadow look. It has been my perfect goto palette whenever I travel or whenever I just want that “simple, yet put-together” look. It’s excellent also for that no-makeup-makeup look. Though, I seldom do that, tbqh.
Packaging is just like all of Ellana Mineral’s compact makeup. It comes with a white card board packaging with Soleil Ignacio’s illustration at the cover. It comes with a mirror then of course the 4-pan eyebrow/eyeshadow quad. What I do like about the packaging is that it’s very compact so you can bring it with you everywhere. As mentioned, this has been a staple in my makeup kit so I’ve been bringing this with me all summer long. I guess the only con about the packaging is that because it’s so white, it can be a dust magnet. The photo’s taken months ago, so you can expect that my compact is no longer as squeaky clean.
Beloved – Is a matte warm tan shade perfect for contouring your crease. I don’t use this much for my eyebrows but when I do, I use this to fill in the sparse areas at the beginning of my brows.
Intense – Is also a matte cool-toned taupe shade best for accentuating your outer V shape. I use it for the tail end of my brows.
Wish – Is more of a satin warm brow shade. It’s satin but doesn’t appear so when applied which makes it very usable for your brows. I also use this to contour my lids/crease. Also, this is my main brow color, mixed wit ‘Intense’ at the tail end of my brows.
Hush – Is cream shade perfect for highlighting. I mainly use this to highlight my inner tear duct area or my brow bone.
All shades except the darker one, ‘Intense’ in my opinion is actually pigmented and has a rich color payoff. They’re all very buttery smooth and creamy to the touch, though. ‘Intense’, however has a unique texture and pigmentation which makes it a lot better if you use it for your brows. But it doesn’t mean that you can’t use it as an eyeshadow. Of course you can, duh. All in all, they still offer a nice pigmentation and superb quality.
At the photo above, I used ‘Hush’ on my lids, brow bone and inner trarduct area; ‘Beloved’ to contour my crease; ‘Wish’ to warm up my crease. I also used it as my main brow color. Then finally, I used ‘Intense’ on my outer V corners and also at the tail end of my brows.
I love this eyebrow/eyeshadow quad. This is not my first pick when it comes to my eyebrow product but for traveling this is the one that I often bring. It’s definitely not a bad eyebrow product, and I definitely love it as an eyeshadow quad. I often use an eyeshadow primer when I use this so I cannot be sure as to it’s longevity WITHOUT a primer, but with a primer, this lasted me for over 6-8 hours of wear time.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this product and if this review and all of my raves about this product doesn’t tell you that, I don’t know what will. On a serious note, Ellana has always been the bomb when it comes to their products and it should come as no surprise that this multi tasking product will be as great. (look at me, I’m talking like this is a new product, it isn’t. I’m just saying that I can’t stop gushing over this quad, ayt? Ayt. :P)
How about you? What’s your favorite multi-tasking product? Let me know! I would love to hear your thoughts. I listen to your suggestions and I always keep them in mind whenever I go shopping. See you on my next post, loves! As my niece one said to me, ‘love you! muwah muwah! tsup tsup!’ (okay, I can’t believe I just said that, but you get the point! :* )
