Notes from the Quilt Lab

Using vintage rulers to hang my little quilts

A couple years back i blogged about using vintage yardsticks to hang little quilts and other textiles. Here's an example:

Here's a new way to use vintage rulers and yardsticks to hang individual quilts.

Simply place the quilt between two rulers and clip them together with a binder clip. There are many cute binder clips available these days. The clip also serves as the hook to hang up the quilt. Depending on the quilt size, I used 12" and 6" rulers; for a larger quilt, I cut a yardstick in half.

Have fun and internet for different types of clips. I am expecting some cool brass binder clips in the mail tomorrow.

Next blog, I'll show you ideas for using vintage clothes hangers.
