How to choose ceiling speakers?

You love listening to music or watching your favorite movies, but you just can not stand how much space is occupied by the speakers. And you did not even start the wires that run all over the room! On ceiling speakers may be the answer to your problem - but please, do not go out to the audio/video store and pick up only the speakers. This guide will help you understand the correct way to choose best ceiling speakers on the ceiling - so that your music and DVDs will sound as fresh and clean as the room will look after installation

Instructions

1. Understand that many stores sell wall speakers and speakers on the ceiling. Most wall ceiling speakers are rectangular in shape, like traditional independent speakers. In the ceiling speakers are generally smaller and circular in shape. It is possible to install the wall ceiling speakers with a ceiling rating if desired.

2. Take a moment to consider what your speakers are going to be used for. Are they being installed in your living room, where they will be used for music and movies, or are they being added to your kitchen, where they will only be required for the background? Understanding the use will help you decide what kind of performance you require from the speakers in the ceiling.

3. There are three main things to consider when choosing the right loudspeaker on the ceiling for your room. The frequency response, sensitivity level, and manipulation power.

4. Frequency response is measured in hertz (Hz). The human ear has a range of between 20 and 20,000 Hz. You will have to look for a loudspeaker on the ceiling with the widest possible Hz range. For example, if you have two speakers on the ceiling, a score of 50 to 20,000 Hz and the other nominal of 65 to 20,000 Hz, you will get a better range of sound and deeper bass through the 50 Hz speaker.

5. The sensitivity score of a speaker is in decibels (dB). This determines how well your speaker manages the power that is being produced by the amplifier. The higher the dB, the less power is required to produce the same level of sound.

6. A speaker's power handling capabilities are measured in watts. This identifies how much energy a speaker can handle. For the system with the best sound, the speaker must have a capacity greater than or equal to the power generated by the amplifier.

7. Because independent speakers come packaged in their own cabinets, they are tonally pre-configured during manufacturing. But, since ceiling speakers are more difficult to configure, you should choose a model that comes with independent bass and treble. This will allow you to make the necessary changes to the creation of your ideal sound blanket.

8. Another feature to look for in your installed ceiling speakers is the ability to move the tweeter. By being able to turn the tweeter you can guarantee a maximum sound aimed at the area that needs it most.

9. When installing recessed speakers, it is recommended that an active subwoofer be used to fill the bass level for a fuller texture and rich sound. The subwoofers can be accessories or bought to fit into the wall or ceiling installations as well.

Best of luck
