How to Farm Pirate Coins in Lost Ark?

Pirate Coins are one of the many currencies in Lost Ark, like Lost Ark Gold. If you never seem to have enough Pirate Coins in Lost Ark, here are how to get them, farm them fast, and where you can spend them.

What are Pirate Coins in Lost Ark?

Pirate Coins are one of several forms of currency available in Lost Ark. Like most of the game's other specialized forms of currency, and you're going to need quite a few Pirate Coins to complete certain transactions for unique items. If you're looking to take to the high seas during your Lost Ark adventure, you'll need Pirate Coins to get by. This elusive currency is used to upgrade all-things naval, from your crew to your ship.

How to Farm Pirate Coins in Lost Ark?

Here's how to get Pirate Coins in Lost Ark and how to farm them quickly to speed up your travels:

1. Island Quests

The first way of earning Pirate coins is by completing the Island Quests. For this, you have to complete the quests of certain islands.

Here's a breakdown of how many Pirate Coins you can earn on each island via quests:

• Giant Mushroom Island – 2000 Pirate Coins

• Peyto and Glacier Isle – 5000 Pirate Coins

• Runaways Island – 5000 Pirate Coins

• Sublime Island – 6000 Pirate Coins

• Golden Wave Island – 7000 Pirate Coins

• Kalthertz – 8600 Pirate Coins

• Cradle of the Sea Fermata – 9000 Pirate Coins

• Atropos – 10,000 Pirate Coins

• Blackfang's Den – 10,000 Pirate Coins

• Freedom Isle – 15,000 Pirate Coins

• Lullaby Island – 16,500 Pirate Coins

In any case, it's certainly worth it to hit every island at some point in the game if you're looking to maximize your Pirate Coin earning potential.

2. Join Marine Events

Marine events are regularly scheduled in-game events that require you to complete various tasks (the most lucrative of which involve Ghost Ships). Completing them will sometimes reward you with unique Voyage Coins that can be traded for Pirate Coins at the following exchange rates:

• Guiena's Coin = 10 Pirate Coins

• Krater's Coin = 12 Pirate Coins

• Coin of Arcturth = 15 Pirate Coins

• Ancient Coins = 17 Pirate Coins

• Solar Coin = 20 Pirate Coins

3. Defeat Ghost Ships

Ghost Ships are a subsection of Marine Events. Destroying these will earn players Pirate Coins, as well as a whole trove of other goodies.

4. Una's Tasks

Another way of farming the Pirate Coins is completing Una's Tasks. There are eight Una's tasks that can reward you with Pirate Coins. Besides Pirate Coins, you can also get Life Leap Stone, Harmony Leap Stone, and Honor Leap Stone.

The eight Una's tasks that can reward you with Pirate Coins are also given below.

• A Hard Day at Work

• Crook Catcher

• Ride Like the Wind

• For the Fermata's Maintenance

• Defensive Warfare

• Bleak Night Fog

• Pest Control

• She Drifts, Sea Gifts

5. Procyon's Eye Compass

The islands that spawn during the Procyon's Eye Compass Events can also reward you with the Pirate coins along with the High Seas Coin Chest.

The four time-limited events which can earn you Pirate Coins are given below.

• Chaos Gate

• Adventure Island

• Ghost Ship

• Field Boss

6. Fishing

You can also find Pirate Coins while fishing, but the rewards from that activity are random, and there doesn't seem to be a great way to game the RNG system. As such, I wouldn't recommend prioritizing that activity over any other unless you happen to want to focus on fishing for whatever reason.

7. By Exchange other Coins

You can also get Pirate coins by exchanging other coins at the port. Coins such as Gienah's Coin, Arcturus's Coin, Spectrum's Coin, Ancient Coin, and Sun Coins can be traded to the Tea and Libra Guild Vessel for Pirate Coins.

What are Pirate Coins Used For?

Pirate Coins are primarily used to purchase items related to upgrading your ship and are often spent at the various traveling merchant ships you'll encounter on the open seas. While some merchants that only accept Pirate Coins (or accept them) also offer items you can buy elsewhere with gold and silver, smart players will learn to ignore all other temptations and only spend their hard-earned Pirate Coins on ship upgrades and other valuable naval resources.
