Celebrate New Year With Your ESA Dog Or A Cat

Looking to celebrate your New Year with your emotional support dog or a cat, or both? Though you both do not need an occasion and excuse to bond and have some fun activities together, still, these special events provide you an opportunity to spend more time with each other and bond over some quality time.

Below are some of the ways through which you both could have a great New Year.

1. Renew your ESA Letter

Living with an emotional support animal needs an ESA letter for housing and this is why this comes at number one on our list. An emotional support animal letter is a legal document that allows people struggling with mental and emotional disabilities to get a support animal. This animal could be anything but cats and dogs are the most common types.

2. Throw a New Year Party

No New Year celebrations are complete without parties. However, if you want to focus on you and Coco only then having a themed dog or cat party is a great way of inviting your fellow ESA owner friends. Put some dog or cat-friendly food and treats and some for the human guests also.

3. Keep Human Food Away

If you have planned a New Year Party then keep a watch and make sure that none of the human food is accessible to your ESAs. alcohol, chocolates, sugary and savory foods are highly toxic for your animals and you must keep them away from their reach. Prepare some food for them and make sure that they eat from them only.

4. Plan a Holiday

Plan a special ‘2 person’ holiday for yourselves. There are many places that are quite welcoming for animals and where you could go with your emotional support friend. Research and find out some animal-friendly places, resorts, and restaurants to spend your New Year’s Eve there.

5. Book a Pampering Session

Book a pampering and grooming session for yourself and Coco or Kitty. No matter your emotional support animal is a cat or a dog, everyone loves to get their dose of care and grooming. There are many speciality pet grooming parlors that offer various services for dogs and cats while there are many others that welcome both their human and animal guests.

6. Start a New Training

Book Coco or Kitty into new and engaging training. Regular pet and ESA training stimulate your animal’s brain and keep it mentally and physically fit. New Year is a great time to enroll both of yourselves into a new and fun game and training session.

7. Take New Year Resolutions

Love to take New Year’s resolutions? Why not add your ESA into it? Think about your goals and the things that you would like to achieve in the coming year. Make a list for yourself and make a list for Coco also. Take the resolutions together and do your best to achieve them.

New Year is one of the most joyous occasions of the year and is a great opportunity for both of you and your ESA. Make the most of it and plan a great year ahead. To make sure that you do not receive any unlikely visitors at your door and renew your ESA dog letter at your earliest.
