Civil Matters in India

In India matters in disputes are divided into two categories civil and criminal. While criminal cases mean an end of someone’s right including the right to life. A civil case is a matter in which dispute arises between individual, organizations, and families. Civil law, unlike criminal laws, focuses on providing compensation to the victims. Civil suits are heard and tried in civil courts. Civil suits are among the parties and there is no inclusion of state in civil suits.

Categories of Civil Suits: - There are many statutes made for civil matters in India along with the different type of approach and punishments for those matters. To understand civil laws these heads should be analyzed first: -

Real Estate Law: -

Real estate matters including property disputes, property fraud, tenancy disputes, Registration of property, the making of wills and documents are covered under Real estate laws. Real estate laws are uncovered under various property act like registrations act, and transfer of property act, etc.

Business Laws: -

Business laws include disputes among business organizations, employees, business administration and employees, etc. A business dispute may arise from non-rendering of services on time, Monetary and other business fraud and dispute in the documentation, etc.

Consumer Law: -

Consumer laws are laws made to make smooth sailing between consumer and services supplier. If a dispute arises regarding the quality of goods, services rendered by the company then dispute arising out of those actions can be challenged in the consumers' courts made under civil laws.

Contract Law: -

Contractual disputes are challenged under the Indian contract act with the support of civil procedure code 1908. Dispute arising out of non-completion of contracts, non-functioning of contracts and fraud of any form in contracts are covered under contract laws.

Environmental laws: -

To protect environment various statues have been made like Environment act, the air prevention, and pollution control act, etc. Violation of these environmental statutes brings legal action against the public. Environmental disputes are also covered under civil laws.

Taxation laws: -

The government runs its administration through monetary, and to generate economy government collects taxes. People sometimes try to commit tax frauds, falsification of properties, etc. which general implicates legal proceedings on them, which is why tax laws have been created in India covered under civil matters of Indian judiciary.

Administrative laws:-

If any dispute arises regarding rulemaking, making or application of any kind of agenda then the administrative laws come into action to prevent implications to develop in the administrative matter.

Sports Laws: -

Sports laws cover disputes involving within them the sports players. These issues may contain sports contracts, trademark, copyright, tax issues, doping, etc. Sports law is also a civil form of law contested in courts of civil nature.

In a nutshell, Civil law covers legal matters widely. To hear and try all matters with ease various civil statutes are created under civil laws. These civil laws have been divided among various 7 heads mentioned above.
