How to Use Display Mirroring on Amazon Fire TV

One of the best things about Amazon Fire TV is that it has the capability to mirror handheld devices. Therefore, if you need to watch any movie, clip, TV show, that is not present in the Amazon App Store, then you can play it on your smartphone and mirror it to your Fire TV Stick or Fire TV. In order to cast content from phone or tabs to Amazon Fire TV, the pocket-sized device must support Miracast. A couple of Miracast compatible devices are listed here:

• Fire HD 10

• Fire HDX 8.9

• Microsoft Surface 2

• Microsoft Surface 2 Pro

• Fire phone

• Fire HD 8

Prerequisites

• Firstly, you need to ensure that the handheld device and the Amazon Fire TV are in close proximity, with a distance not greater than thirty feet between them. You need to see that they are connected to the same Wi-Fi network unless the handheld and Fire TV are registered using the same Amazon account.

• Also, the 3rd gen Amazon Fire TV is not compatible with screencasting.

• You need to choose the display mirroring feature by hitting and holding the home button present on the remote of the Amazon Fire TV.
