How to activate Xfinity internet services via the xFi app?

Recently acquired the subscription of Xfinity Internet Services, now it turns to install and activate your Xfinity Gateway. The following workarounds will let you go through the activation process without any hassle. ● The activation process starts with the installation of Xfinity xFi Gateway application. Once you install this tool on your device, sign up with your Xfinity account details. Thereafter, locate the QR code on the back of your Xfinity device. (Note: xFi app is available on Play Store and App store respectively).

● Get back to the application and allow it to access the device camera. Once your camera application launches, scan the QR code located on the back of the Gateway. However, if this doesn’t work as expected then manually enter 12-digit CM MAC number in the given field. (The CM MAC number is duly located on the back of the networking device).

● Once you fill out CM MAC number in the Manual Entry field, tap next to proceed further in the process.

● Now the app will ask you to place the gateway at the centralised location of your home for better network reception. Just follow the prompt to carry on with the activation process.

● Now as per the app instruction, establish connectivity between the gateway and power source via coax cable. Make sure the cable should be firmly connected to the port. Tap next to continue.

● Powered up the getaway and tap on the Next button to move further in the process.

● Create your login details under the “Name Your Wi-Fi network”.

● Now the app will automatically detect the network settings and set up a WiFi connection.

● Tap “Confirm and Finish Up tab under “Confirm Your WiFi Name and Password” window.

● Now all you need to connect your device with the network by entering the log in detail that you have created in the above steps.

So, it is obvious from the above steps that the activation process of the Xfinity Internet Service is rather easy and less distractive.
