Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2019 Preview: Jameis Winston Incognito Continuous and New Pirate in Command

What can we expect from a team whose starting quarterback is a complete unknown? After four seasons in the National Football League, Jameis Winston presented us with more questions than answers. Much more.

Shirt 3 caught the eye more off the field than the extra field (one tip is that it involves Uber, but not with him pouting offseason) and has not even come close to living up to the 2015 first draft overall status.

However, the signal-caller now has two words that together represent an asset and at the same time something that can unmask it: Bruce Arians.

What makes me smile: Bruce Arians in charge of the Buccaneer Ship

What makes me shiver: secondary, running backs and special teams

If Winston can't show where he came from, now that he will be mentored by an Arians-sized coach, then his days as a Bucs starter may be numbered.

Arians, even after ill health, decided to return from retirement to take on this potholed Tampa Bay. The 67-year-old is not many years old as a head coach, so you have to start the makeover yesterday.

Arians, by the way, tore compliments on Winston in January, saying QB "can win it all." But let's take a cold look at what the attacker has delivered so far since 2015. What he delivered on the field, at least…

In 56 games, there are 58 interceptions and 37 fumbles in total, a real horror. Winston misses more than Deyverson spoils counterattacks at Palmeiras.

Calm. Before 40% of the huge mass of five Bucs fans in Brazil curse me, Winston does have his merits. He is a good arm quarterback who has completed over 61% of his league passes for 14,628 yards and 88 touchdowns. If you want to watch NFL live stream online, you can follow NFL guide to watch game without cable.

But at the same time, Tampa Bay's QB comes from a 2018 season in which, in addition to facing a suspension, it launched 14 interceptions in 11 games. Including a horrific performance in the 37-34 defeat by Cincinnati Bengals in October, with an uglier intercept than the other. Uglier mistakes than cursing the mother for lack of lunch mix.

If Winston manages to cheat a little by 2019, he will get a legal contract. The NFL knows how to throw money in the trash with average QBs, don't worry, Winston.

And let's face it: if an offensive guru like Arians, who has won two NFL Technician of the Year titles and done miracles (with quarterbacks and Arizona Cardinals, who was 8-8 in 2017 even with injured Carson Palmer at most of the season), no way in Winston, nor can Roberto Justus.

What makes me salivate (more than chocolate cake)

We talk, we talk and we talk about Winston. And the good news for the Bucs fan is that, at least in terms of the airplay pieces, shirt 3 has something to celebrate.

Mike Evans is a BAITA DUM WIDE RECEIVER (voice of star Neto) and hasn't had a season with even less than 1,000 yards since joining the NFL when he was selected with the seventh overall pick of the 2014 draft.

Shirt 13 comes from the best year of his career overall: in 2018, there were 86 receptions for 1,524 yards (average 17.7 yards per reception) and eight touchdowns.

WR # 2 is Chris Godwin, who has God and victory in the same surname, so it's to glorify standing up. In its second year in the league in 2018, shirt 12 made 59 receptions for 842 yards and seven touchdowns. Not bad.

Winston still has at his disposal the good tight ends O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate.

In his second season in the league, Howard made 34 receptions for 565 yards and five TDs. And that is only 10 games played. He has plenty of talent, but he needs to stay away from the medical department.

Pieces for Winston to throw the ball to spare. Now he has to enjoy them.

Which disgusts me (more than Joachim Löw's hand)

You could do a monograph on this topic if I wanted to. Buccaneers have more holes than the BR-230 highway in many sectors.

Group of running backs, offensive line, sub, special teams. I am not exaggerating.

Let's talk briefly about each other so as not to take more time from your melancholy Buccaneer fan life.

In the group of RBs, Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones lead the actions. Barber was the best of the team in 2018, with 234 runs for 871 yards and five touchdowns. An average of 3.7 yards per run is something my grandmother at the top could outgrow.

An inefficient ground attack can mean more balls thrown by Winston (him again). And that could mean… disaster.

The offensive line is not a prime. In the tips, Donovan Smith is a left tackle nothing more than OK. On the right side, Demar Dotson will soon be closer to 40 than to 30. And the center has guardian Ali Marpet, who is a good lineman, as well as weak center Ryan Jensen.

Since I'm stretching too far, let's the go-to defense.

Is the defensive line good? Until yes. Pass rusher Gerald McCoy was the biggest offseason loss in the industry and Vinny Curry also came out. On the other hand, Ndamukong Suh (jo) arrived to reinforce the interior, is a great player in containing the ground game.

Vita Vea is a quality nose tackle as well. And, in the end, Jason Pierre-Paul may be a great pass rusher, but first, he has to recover from a vertebra fracture sustained in an offseason car accident. Yes, JPP also lost fingers due to a rocket years ago and became an expert in the art of shitting **** in the seasons.

In the draft, the Bucs caught up with young Devin White with the fifth pick and he comes to be a good middle linebacker to build around him. The linebacker body also has the great Lavonte David.

But then the problems come.

The secondary is a horror. Even the face of Marquita, Ratinho, is not so scary.

Vernon Hargreaves, selected in the first round of the 2016 draft, was bad for the season, suffered injuries and is unlikely to improve much. The only good news is that Sean Murphy-Bunting and Jamel Dean were selected early in the draft and could improve things in position.

Bucs' defense against the pass was dire last season, giving an average passer rating of 110.9 to the opposing QBs and allowing 72.5% of completed passes, both marks that were the second-worst in NFL history in a single season in both. according to 'The Athletic'.

All four holders combined for a miserable interception last year. And Arians even said that the problem in high school was solved.

Yeah, his business is really attacked...
