Follow the Leader: Are You Sure You Want To Follow the Leader?

Have you ever as a child played the game of "follow the leader?" Most of us can probably remember playing this as children. The idea is we must follow or do whatever the person ahead of us is doing. It may be something as simple as jumping over a mud-hole to jumping over a barb-wire fence with no hands, just one swift clear jump and you are over instagram australia or you fall straddling that fence. OUCH!

Now, we know that is child's play, but all those child-hood games have a lesson in there for us as we grow up and become adults. All of us must play the game of life and our child-hood is the thing that determines what role we will play in the arena of life.

As we grow up and get older we realize more and more the importance of "following the leader" and stepping out in unison. Any organization or group who is not working as one is doomed to failure. There has to be someone to lead the group and take responsibility for what gets done or nothing gets done.

Leadership in any endeavor is a critical part of the success or failure of the organization. There just naturally follows that someone is out there digging the trenches and setting the path for all to follow. It is not an easy thing to be the person in charge of moving the troops, organization or group, but it has to be done.instagram australia

Herein lies the reason we need good leadership and we need those who are capable of teaching the leaders of the future. We need leadership training and those with the necessary leadership skills to lead the leaders of the future. We need the good leaders in the leadership position to teach the skills of effective leadership.

It has never been more important to truly "follow the leader" then when we have become the adults taking the charge to lead the world of tomorrow. Who the leaders are today determines who will be the leaders of tomorrow. We can not just sit by and hope for someone to show up who can take the reigns of leadership. We must be training our leaders of tomorrow - Today!

There are some really great books on leadership out there and heading the list is perhaps two or three we highly recommend everyone have in their library. The first two were written by John C Maxwell and they are: "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" and "The 21 Indispensable Qualities of A Leader." On these two books rest the whole of what leadership is and what qualities should be expected of those who lead. When it comes to teaching leadership these two books should be required reading in all colleges. As a matter of fact, they should be the required text books for all leadership training of our young men and women.

At the same time we need to require one other reading when it comes to the training up of the leaders of the future and that is "The 11 Forgotten Laws of Leadership" by Bob Proctor. These 11 forgotten laws deal with the law of attraction. instagram australia
