JEE MAIN 2020

JEE which stands for ‘Joint Entrance Exam’ is the most renowned and common engineering entrance exam in India. JEE Main is the gateway to all the popular IITs and NITs along with several other top graded engineering colleges. JEE, which used to be conducted under CBSE will be going through a significant change in 2020 as NTA (National Testing Agency) is going to be organizing the exam. JEE Main 2020 is going to be conducted twice that year. The first exam was conducted on 06 - 09 January 2020 and the second exam is going to be held on 05 - 11 April 2020, however these details are still very tentative until an official announcement from NTA is declared. Aspiring students can apply for the exam through the official NTA online portal.

Online application form submission: 03 September 2019 (First exam), 07 February 2020 (Second exam)

Date of Exam: 06 - 09 January 2020 (First exam), 05 - 11 April 2020 (Second exam)

Result: 17 January 2020 (First exam), 30 April 2020 (Second exam)

WHO CAN APPLY FOR JEE MAIN 2020?

The aspiring student should be a 12th pass out from the year 2018 or 2019.

Students pursuing 12th and having their final exams in 2020 can also apply.

B.Tech or BE students must have had Maths, Physics and one of Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Technical vocational subjects in 12th class.

Students pursuing B.Arch or B.Planning must have opted for Mathematics as a subject in class 12th.

The candidate’s age should be 24 or less

EXAM PATTERN FOR JEE MAIN 2020

The questions will be objective type MCQs and questions which test the students on their drawing ability. The question paper language will consist of Hindi and English. The exam will be conducted online and the duration is 3 hours. Every correct answer will award the candidate with 4 marks and wrong answers will lead to -1 mark.

Paper 1 of JEE MAIN 2020 will consist of three sections namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, each containing 30 questions.

Paper 2 of JEE MAIN 2020 will consist of three sections namely Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing Test, each containing 30, 50 and 2 questions respectively.
