Books From the Backlog #181

Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf unread. If you are anything like me, you might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks.

If you would like to join in, please feel free to enter your link and link back to this post, then spend some time visiting some of the other posts at Carole's Random Life in Books blog.

This week's neglected book:

Life on the Edge by Jennifer Comeaux

#1 Life on the Edge

Contemporary Romance, Sports Romance

1.3.12

Pages: 314

Average Rating: 3.70

Blurb:

Nineteen-year-old Emily is new to pairs skating, but she and her partner Chris have a big dream-to be the first American team to win Olympic gold. Their young coach Sergei, who left Russia after a mysterious end to his skating career, believes they can break through and make history.

Emily and Chris are on track to be top contenders at the Winter Games. But when forbidden feelings spark between Emily and Sergei, broken trust and an unexpected enemy threaten to derail Emily's dreams of gold.

WHY DID I PICK THIS ONE?

I got this as a freebie in 2012 and was excited because it was about Olympic ice skaters. But, it sat. I was reminded of it when I started thinking I wanted to read books set against the Winter Olympics since that is coming up in the new year.
