We’re back with another simple DIY project! We’ve been really into the patch trend lately. They’re showing up everywhere from denim jackets to purses. Patches are an easy way to make something generic into a custom piece that shows your personality.
For this project, we decided to jazz up a plain laptop case. There are tons of solid computer cases out there just begging for some flair. The patches we chose are all very girly and colorful. How amazing is this ice cream patch?! The fun part of this project is choosing patches that represent bits and pieces of who you are. It’s safe to say we’re now addicted to patches and will be seeking out ways to introduce them into our wardrobe!
Supplies:
-
pink laptop case
-
assorted patches
-
E6000 glue-
-heavy books
That’s it! You only need four things. Here’s how to put your case together:
Step One: Lay out your patches on the laptop case and decide where you want them to go. We spread ours out over the whole case, but we thought it would be cute to keep the patches in one corner of the case too!
Step Two: Now it’s time to glue down the patches. E6000 is kind of tricky because you have to put it on both the patch and the case, wait two minutes, and then stick them together.
Step Three: After all of your patches are glued down, lay some heavy books on top of the case while the glue dries. This will just help to keep everything looking seamless.
We are so obsessed with this laptop case! It only took a day to make, and we’ve already gotten so many compliments on it. It’s always fun to make something truly unique that no one else has. Especially something you use every day like a laptop case! -
