I'm quite enamored with these bold and detailed illustrations by
Lisa Perrin. Much of her work is inspired by Eastern European Jewish folk tales and even if you miss a few cultural cues her historic roots is noticeable in drawing style calling to mind Victorian artwork and Haeckel's "Art Forms in Nature." As a fashion-obsessed person I would love to see some of her illustrations on fabrics, since to me the highest form of flattery is not copying a person's work but covering your body in it!
