TOP 5 BRUNCHES IN STOCKHOLM. Sometimes I catch myself being neglecting to my own hometown of Stockholm, as I travel a lot in my work I sometimes forget what a stunning city Stockholm is and how much this city has to offer. This is something I want to change this year and the time I will spend at home in the city I will spend exploring the amazing culinary experiences that the city has to offer and much more. I want to get to know my own hometown better in other words!
I spend over 130 days per year traveling, spending my days on airplanes, in hotels, from beaches to the big city life and even though I love it the feeling of coming home after having been traveling for several weeks in a row is just epic. I usually throw myself in to our couch and don’t do much at all, drink a cup of tea and eat a typical Swedish sandwich made from sourdough or another classic combination is a glass of milk with a freshly made cinnamon bun. That makes me feel very Swedish and very at home!
I wanted to share some of my favourite places where I go when I urge a delicious brunch here in Stockholm. I love everything with egg and eggs benedict is a personal favourite of mine. A brunch without sweets is not a brunch so all these places offer delicious sweets as well as a great brunch menu. These places are great spots for a free afternoon on a Saturday or Sunday! TOP 5 BRUNCHES IN STOCKHOLM. I och med att resandet är en sådan stor del av mitt liv samt jobb gör att jag ibland glömmer bort min vackra hemstad Stockholm där jag växte upp större delen av mitt liv. Det är lite synd det där att man blir lite hemmablind men det är något som jag vill ändra på detta år och jag ska se till att verkligen upptäcka mer av den kulinariska världen här i Stockholm. Jag vill lära känna min hemstad bättre med andra ord!
Jag spenderar över 130 dagar varje år på flygplatser, hotell, från stränder till storstäder och en känsla som jag verkligen älskar är den man får efter man har varit ute och rest under flera veckor och låser upp dörren till lägenheten. Jag brukar oftast slänga mig ned i soffan, dricka en kopp te och äta en macka på surdegsbröd med ypperligt Svenska tillbehör på. En annan klassiker är ett glas mjölk med en nygräddad kanelbulle eller kardemummabulle. Då känner jag mig svensk och väldigt hemma!
Jag vill dela med mig av några av mina favoriter dit jag alltid går när jag längtar efter en frodig brunch i Stockholm. Jag älskar allting med ägg och egg benedict är något jag alltid beställer under en brunch session vart jag än befinner mig i världen vilket har gjort mig lite utav en egg benedict connoisseur vid det här laget. En brunch utan söta inslag är ingen riktig brunch så alla dessa platser som jag tipsar om har även ett fantastiskt utbud av sötsaker som ni kan njuta av. 1. Oaxen Slip – This is an amazing restaurant with an outstanding quality of the food and since they opened up for brunch as well last year I have been a even bigger fan! The restaurant is located on beautiful Djurgården which is a experience as well, especially during summer.

2. T/Bar - This is where I come all the time, it’s very close to where Johan and I live and I love the stunning view of the water and I love it that they update their menu frequently. I love their starters a lot an their sweets can’t be missed.

3. Nybrogatan 38 – This is another place which is super close to Johan and I which makes it very tempting to come here perhaps too much. I love the ambience, interior design and of course the delicious brunch menu.

4. Kommendören – This is a recently opened restaurant here in Stockholm and they have had a huge success. The menu is beyond delicious and a brunch here is a very safe card for success.

5. BROMS – This place is literally outside our doorstep and Johan and I come here all the time, in the morning for freshly made bread and croissants or at night for dinner. Their brunch is amazing and it’s always packed with people so be sure to book a table!
