Hair Tutorial: The Double Dutch
I have been such a slacker when it comes to the hair tutorials but I finally had a little free time over the long weekend to put this one together. I posted a pic a few days ago with my hair in a Double Dutch Braid and got quite a few comments wondering how to do it so here you go!

Step One I started by curling and teasing my hair like I did in the Big Texas Hair Tutorial just to give it some body and texture. Then I parted a section of the front part of my hair. I like the part to start right above the arch of my eyebrow. And for this braid, since it's a double, I only section off an inch section, and secure it with a clip.
Step Two Then I get to braiding. To do a dutch braid, you basically do the exact same technique as a regular french braid but instead of pulling the pieces over, you pull them under. If that doesn't make sense, YouTube has a ton of "How-To" videos.
Step Four Then I repeat the process with another inch wide section and pin it behind the ear like the first.
Step Five Pull those babies apart! I always hold the base, near the pin, that way I don't pull out the entire braid. And I focus on pulling out the outside edges to get the pieces to look really wide and chunky but it keeps the inside portion tighter.
And that's it! XOXO, Summer Ann
