A Moment with Monsieur John Nollet for The Coveteur

Earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week, The Coveteur dialed me with a special request… “Nausheen, would you mind having Monsieur John Nollet’s display his new Couture hair accessory line on you for a feature on our site?”

While it sounds like a simple inquiry, I was purged beyond exhaustion as we entered our fourth fashion week. Each day was filled to the brim with a list consisting of runway shows, presentations, store openings, cocktails, fashion week dinners, writing reviews… You get it. But let me explain a little tid bit about John Nollet:

The French master of manes has been styling celebrities, magazine covers and is long sought after by an upscale clientele which he often sees in his Park Hyatt Hotel hair studio. Realizing his passion for hair styling early in life, Nollet began honing his talent at the young age of 10 (while most of us were honing our talent for dodgeball – let’s be honest). His extensive experience and knowledge shows through his mastered artistry with cutting edge hair styles, coveted hair accessories and a collaboration with L’Oreal & Louis Vuitton – they even created a makeshift salon out of a customized Louis Vuitton trunk in order to accommodate his clientele around the world. Has your hairstylist ever done that? Didn’t think so.

Naturally as a fellow nomad and purveyor of Louis Vuitton trunks, (my Damier LV antique trunk from the 1800s is my most prized possession,) I knew he held the key to my locks. I am so fond of his craft and was beyond honored to display his new hair accessories line. After all…he had just designed the Chanel Pre-Fall 2015 Runway hairpieces for their New York show! It was meant to be… And BTW may we have a moment to discuss his personal style?! C’est Magnifique!

Check out our shoot on The Coveteur for my dream-worthy styling session with Monsieur Nollet.
