10 Not So Obvious Quotes for Teachers

Let's face it...teachers need inspiration! With the craziness that is back-to-school, I thought I would share some not-so-obvious quotes for teachers. Why the not-so-obvious ones? Because they are the ones you haven't seen a million times on Pinterest and therefore they can truly "inspire" you. Enjoy!

Is a student acting out of character? Did one of your administrators seem to be in a foul mood? Don't take it personally! Remember, they could be fighting a battle you know nothing about! How can you go out of your way to be kind to them?

My mom is probably cheering right now. I am such a perfectionist, and that is not always a good thing. Don't let a lack of perfection get you down...as long as you've got progress, you're golden!

Do you set high expectations for your students? Don't do them a disservice! Raise the bar high and they will meet you there!

There are so many things we are told to do and sometimes it seems overwhelming. Instead of getting frustrated, focus on your efforts. Be proud of yourself because you tried your best.

Can you say "first year teaching"?!? Even when it's hard, remember you are learning and that will make you a better teacher in the future!

Other teachers, students, parents, staff, etc. Don't underestimate the power of your smile. =)

As teachers we don't always get a pinterest-perfect set up. My first "classroom" was a teeny tiny, old, yucky, dusty trailer. I had less than $300 of supplies/decor and less than three days to prepare. Instead of getting frustrated, do your best with what you have!

The kids are always watching! Be a good example in the way your treat other people. Something as simple as the way you interact with a coworker in front of students can make an impact!

I saved the best for last...EVERY TEACHER NEEDS TO READ THIS!! We're soooo good at overworking ourselves because our work is never truly done. But remember, we can accomplish more if we are rested and rejuvenated, so don't forget to make time for that!
