China, Hubei: a patient infected with H7N9 avian influenza virus passed away in Wuhan

On May 1 the city of Wuhan recorded a fatality in a H7N9 avian flu virus patient.

The case – a female, 68 years old Jiangxia resident - developed symptoms on April 21, 2017, since her ailments did not improve after self-medication, she was admitted to hospital on April 23. On April 25 she was admitted to the Provincial People's Hospital Eastern District. On April 27 at 13:00, she received a diagnosis of H7N9 influenza.

After nearly a month of treatment, she passed away on May 1.
