Pahlish Buccaneers and Buried Gold Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great weekend. Today I have Pahlish's Buccaneers and Buried Gold Collection to show you. By the names, it's clear that it was inspired by Treasure Island. It's been so long since I've read the classic, that I'm putting it on my list to read again. And to top it all off, there's a cute skull and crossbones for the logo!

First up is Tropical Island Treasure. It's a aqua blue creme with those bronze little flakies that I love. It applied very nicely. This is 3 coats.

Cape Coast Castle has a deep green with a hint of blue jelly base with lavender holo glitters and micro bar glitters. I know in the minority, because I actually like bar glitter so maybe I'm biased, but I love how these are micro. They don't stick out of the polish, but they look like little "sparks." No application issues at all. This is 3 coats, though you could do 2 and be okay.

Sitting in the Apple Barrel is a slightly pinkish red with yellow and iridescent orange glitters as well as some gold shimmer. This is 3 coats.

Billy Bones has a vanilla creme base with lots of ultra chrome flakies as well as this violet shimmer that shows up in certain angles. I absolutely love these flakies in a creamy base and this base is my favorite kind of nude. It's super flattering. Application was perfect. This is 2 coats.

And last, but certainly not least is Sailing in Hispaniola. Bright blue with holo shimmer? Yes! I'm in love! I had to swatch this one last so I could wear it for a full mani. The blue reminds me of Sally Hansen's original Pacific Blue, but with holo. And holo makes everything awesome! Flawless application as well. This is 2 coats.

Overall I really enjoyed these, but the clear favorite is Sailing in Hispaniola! The Buccaneers and Buried Gold Collection will be available from Pahlish.com starting April 5th 7pm Central. For more news and info about Pahlish, check them out here:
