When it comes to wedding venues, this wedding chapel in Hiroshima, Japan really takes your breath away. Designed by
Nikken Space Design, the beauty lies in the elegant wood panels that feature a large tree motif (titled
Power of Flower). Nikken Space Design collaborated with a kimono designer to create the flowers and plants that are traditionally found in kimono patterns. This theme calls upon the ancestral roots and prosperity of future generations - incredibly appropriate for couples getting married.
100 wood panels were hand-carved from a Japanese cypress with each panel measuring 6' x 3.5" thick. The wood panels filter light through the chapel, which creates beautiful lighting reminiscent of a forest. The end result is a magical setting for families to gather and witness a wedding ceremony.
This actually makes me want to say "I do" all over again.
