Stay hydrated this summer! It’s a must!

Is it real hot in the summer where you live? It gets really hot here in San Diego, especially in August and September. So far in June and July it hasn’t been too bad but I know it’s coming. I’ve lived here my whole life though so I’m pretty use to it. I know some of you probably get really hot summers too. For me I like to remember to stay hydrated and keep my daughter hydrated in the summer. I know I feel better when I’m not dehydrated. I am not a good water drinker though. I wish I was better at drinking water but I’m just not great at it.It’s gotten better than it use to be but I still don’t drink what I need to.

I think the problem is I need some flavor. I drink a lot of soda and I know that soda isn’t a good way too stay hydrated. So in the summer I turn to Powerade. I go to Albertson’s my grocery store of choice and I stock up for summer. I like fruit punch the best but we usually get an assortment of flavors because my husband and daughter like a lot of their flavors. They need to stay well hydrated too!

So even if you aren’t a big fan of water, as the summer days get hotter make sure you grab something to quench your thirst and hydrate your body. Take care of yourself and don’t let yourself get dehydrated. With temperatures well into the hundreds all over the place getting dehydrated is going to be a big problem. So take care of yourself and take care of your family.
