What is your role at ALEX AND ANI?

I am the Online Product Coordinator on the Digital Strategy team.

What is your connection to LLS?

Five years ago, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I was treated at the Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro Children’s Hospital for four months and received a total of sixteen chemotherapy infusions and one blood transfusion. I have been searching for a way to truly give back to the organizations that saved my life. I am beyond excited to now say that I have my chance after being nominated to run in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2015 Man & Woman of the Year fundraising campaign.

What does LLS mean to you?

During my treatment, I met so many young children battling Leukemia and Lymphoma. Every day these children were fighting for their lives, yet they brightened up the clinic with their smiles, laughs, and beautiful spirits. These children will forever be a huge inspiration in my life and drive my desire to give back.

What is your fundraising goal?

My goal is to raise $50,000 to help aid research, education and patient services for those affected by these blood diseases. For every $50,000 raised, a research grant will be donated to LLS.

Where can people donate?

Donations can be made via my campaign website: http://www.mwoy.org/pages/ri/ri15/lbailer. Thank you in advance for your support!
