Barielle Glitter Mania for Spring 2015

Barielle has a new collection of glitter toppers! I'm happy to report that they all had great formula, and I didn't had to add thinner to any of them. I did have to do dab-technique for a couple of them.

Mermaid's Fin is a delicate and simple topper. It has medium matte blue and small silver holographic glitters. This one was the easiest to apply. I wore it over my favorite Barielle creme, Grape Escape, because I love purple, but I think that this would look great over any color. I have dreamed about a glitter like this for quite a while. This one is definitely a keeper.

Princess Pink is a pink glitter topper with foil glitters in different sizes. I did a jelly sandwich with yellow, but looking back, I don't think that was the best choice. It still looked great in the shade. I think this would go better over purple or even a soft pink crelly.

Orange Flame was really interesting. Basically the name says it all. It is really loud. I think it might be great over black for Halloween. Other than that, I don't see myself reaching for it. I wore it over yesterday's mani. I think my nails looked like some kind of wild frog, which I thought was cool. I liked that the glitters laid completely flat on the nail.

Gemstones has small silver glitter (not holo), medium fuchsia hexagons and silver holographic accents. I didn't think that this one was as interesting on the nail, as it was in the bottle. Although, I really liked the layering combination that I chose. This one is probably a staple topper, to decorate a boring mani, or to make it more girly. Gemstones was the only bumpy one of the bunch.

Confetti was by far, my favorite. The blue glitters in this one are very similar, if not the same, to the ones in Mermaid's fin. I really liked those, so I was happy to see an encore. I swatched this last and wore it for a couple of days, and got a lot of compliments. I really like the fact that they weren't afraid to add black glitter to it. I think it gives it personality.

Overall, I think that this collection is very bold. Aside from Princess Pink, I think that these are really unique. I have always wanted to own a light blue glitter topper, and Mermaid's Fin fulfilled my expectations. I think that this collection is fun to look at, and worth checking out.
