History and Geography Meme #172: History and Geography Curriculum for 2015-16 School Year

Posts about what curriculum people are using this coming year are popping up all over the blogosphere, so I thought I would add one from
All Things Beautiful.
We will be finishing up our study of the Middle Ages in August, so for the new school year, we will be covering the Renaissance and early American History. If you are a reader here, you probably already know that we don't teach American history in isolation, so we will be looking at what was happening around the world as our country was it the early stages of being born.

We will be using History Portfolio: Renaissance from Homeschool Journey

.
We will continue to read books from Heritage History's British Middle Ages series, which extends to the 17th century

and also The World of Columbus and Sons by Genevieve Foster.

We will be continuing to use the Kingfisher History Encyclopedia as our spine. I will also be doing some projects found on my Pinterest Board: Renaissance History.

What history and geography curriculum are you going to be using this year?
I have really enjoyed the community of homeschoolers we have built here and I encourage you to check out the links you may not have seen and make a comment on the posts.
As always I hope that you continue to link your new (and old) posts with any history and geography topic to this meme every Thursday.

Don't forget to link up to the Multicultural Kids Blog's Blog Hop each month.

Remember that I am pinning all posts to Pinterest.
