Have you noticed an ongoing trend on my blog of tackling dry skin? I mean- I’m serious about it! I’m constantly looking for the next best thing but sometimes you have to rely on brands you know that work. Remember when I reviewed some of my favorite L’Occitane hand care items from the Shea line? Well- now my obsession has grown. Check out 10 reasons I’m totally in love with the L’Occitane Shea line!

From L’Occitane- Shea Butter is an ideal beauty ingredient, used by women in Sub-saharan Africa to help nourish and protect their skin and hair. L’OCCITANE uses shea butter from Burkina Faso, harvested in a sustainable and fair trade partnership with the women who produce it.

#1 The best thing about the L’Occitane Shea line is the scent! If you love the natural & the pretty neutral smell of shea then this will be a winner for you too! If you are sensitive to scents or just not a fan of additives then shea is likely a great fit for you as well. Perfect for my migraines too.

#2 The packaging on every product is secure, travel friendly, & high-quality. This might not be a big deal for most people but for products I use all the time it is necessary since my favorites can often be found in various traveling opportunities.

#3 Think all shea products are super heavy? Wrong! This whipped body cream gets its very own number because I’m that addicted! The foam (see above!) is also part of this line. If you need something hydrating that sinks in quickly then this is for you. A lighter texture & so luxe you’d think it cost 3x the price.

#4 Sensitive skin? Most of the time I do too! These don’t just help my dry skin but also my sensitive areas like around my eyes, the eczema/dryness on my hands, & they don’t make wounds sting. Somehow they really kept the natural qualities & adding a luxe feel.

#5 Have eczema like me? Shea will rock it & really help make it feel moisturized. I often use a mix of a bit of vitamin E & these shea products. My skin is left moisturized & healthy feeling.

#6 They actually cater to my insane hand care obsession! I am constantly trying out new oils, lotions, & potions targeted at my hands, cuticles, & nails. If you think all the nail polish swatches on my blog mean my hands are always fabulous looking…you’d be wrong. I have to work my butt off to get them looking semi-presentable & other than some hand creams I try to use products that are really moisturizing but still easy to use. View three of my favorite hand-related items from the L’Occitane Shea range in my review here.

#7 I get this weird Girl Power type thrill knowing that the entire line relies on women. In West Africa, women in Burkina Faso use she butter for everything from cooking to beauty. They are actually in charge of organizing & supplying this magical ingredient & turning it into butter. Purchasing it means you’re helping other women support their families & education- what’s not to love about that? As if that isn’t enough- let me tell you about the soap pictured above! Each year L’Occitane launches a solidarity product to fight against avoidable blindness. 100% of the profits* from the sale of this apricot fragranced body soap will finance NGOs working on eye health projects in developing countries, with the support of the L’Occitane Foundation.

You can purchase items from the L’Occitane She range from the L’Occitane website, Nordstrom, Sephora, & even directly from L’Occitane on Amazon. I can’t wait until they add even more products to this range! Have you tried anything? Any products I need to pick up myself? Would love to hear your favorites below!
