Or so I hope. It feels like spring is truly here, so today’s post is a multi-outfit smorgasbord meant to get any remaining snowy-weather ensembles out of the queue!
P.S. If it snows again before November, I will probably cry bitter, bitter tears. And I know I won’t be the only Minnesotan to do so.
Jacket – thrifted via Twice – similar
Tee – from David Bowie Is at the MCA – more Bowie shirts
(First seen on Instagram, where I declared it my Dean Winchester look.) I bought this graphic tee after seeing the David Bowie Is exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. I have seen three museum retrospectives that have left me totally speechless: Keith Haring at the Whitney (which actually made me cry), Alexander McQueen at the Met, and David Bowie at the MCA. I hope they decide to tour it around a bit more – it closed a couple of months ago – because it is comprehensive, educational, impressive, gorgeous, multi-faceted, and fantastically entertaining. Seeing it moved Bowie out of the “amazing” category and into “genius” in my opinion.
Oh so very blown-out, that background, but it certainly makes the outfit pop. I’ve been trying to expand my scarf-tying horizons a bit, and here did my geometric scarf up in the Double Loop. A nice option to take some volume out and keep ends from dangling down.
Scarf – Desigual (no longer available) – more Desigual scarves
This tunic really is one of my favorite Twice finds. (Seen again here.) It’s lightweight enough to be worn all year, but was fun to do with skinnies and tall boots, a combo that used to be my go-to but hasn’t been in high rotation this winter.
