Sydney Royal Easter Show 2014

Ever since I moved to Sydney in 2012 I’ve been a huge fan of the Sydney Royal Easter Show – I attended the Royal Perth Show in 2011 and that experience was amazing enough to make me anticipate the yearly shows, regardless of which state I happen to be in. Everyone’s always in a good mood at the Show, and the plethora of giant stuffed toys, cotton candy and delicious (but overpriced) food is enough to satisfy anybody. The only thing I dislike is the massive crowd of people (it’s really hard to get a clear shot without heads/bodies getting in the way) – so half the time I was just standing there waiting for them to move. I think the key to getting a great shot in such conditions is to be patient. Also, always bring your camera, because a smartphone can’t handle the lighting conditions in certain areas, especially at night. I took 20 night shots with my iPhone and deleted all of them because of the grain and quality… Sigh. Looking forward to next year’s show already!
