Several months back I did a small series on how easy it is to take a filigree border and parlay it into a background. That’s a technique that I love doing – just a little bit of toying around and it clicks whether a die is going to be stackable or not. You can see cards from the series HERE and HERE and HERE. These backgrounds do all the heavy lifting – they are so easy to put together and your card is complete just add a sentiment panel and you are on your way.
On top of a card base with some matted layers I added three cuts from Spellbinders Fabulous Fretwork. For my sentiment I used the circle from Spellbinders Blooming Collection and Spellbinders Arched Swallowtail Pennants. The snowflake is from Spellbinders Create A Flake Six. The If Snowflakes Were Kisses sentiment is new from Quietfire Designs and is so sweet, sweet, sweet.
