3D City Buildings

Students learn how to turn a rectangle into a 3D form in this drawing project. It’s great for reviewing right angles, parallel lines, shapes vs. forms and more.
1. Cut nine 2.5" x 3.5" rectangles from white card stock paper. Students draw the building shapes as shown, changing windows and doors as desired.
2. The drawing is traced with a black Sharpie marker.
3. The buildings are colored with markers. (My favorite are the Stabilo brand.) The corners are cut off, and the cards are glued to a sheet of 9" x 12" black paper.
