Happy weekend, y’all! I’m officially back with my family, which makes me a million kinds of happy. Yesterday we spent the entire day taking trains from Provence, France to Umbria, Italy, so now we’re settled in for the next few days overlooking a quiet lake. The view will work, no?

I’ve been sick this week, which actually means I’ve gotten some decent reading under my belt. Here were some of my faves from the past few days:

“I knew you were just doing your thing. I knew that you must feel left out sometimes too.” I don’t know a person alive who doesn’t feel left out every now and then, and my friend Lindsey narrates, short-and-sweet, how to best handle it. via Lindsey Nobles

“Teachers at P.S. 116 on East 33rd Street have stopped assigning take-home math worksheets and essays, and are instead encouraging students to read books and spend time with their family…” via DNA Info

Søren Kierkegaard apparently explained back in 1847 why haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate. via Brain Pickings

“For 24 hours, Pi Day 2015 will be the one and only Pi Day in the next 1000 years that will actually reflect the first five numbers in everyone’s favorite irrational number, pi, which is 3.1415.” 10 nerdy pi facts, to make your weekend a learning experience. via Mashable

I’ve had

this version of Blank Space in my head all week. via What’s Up Moms on You Tube

…And lastly, Robert Downey, Jr. “Had the absolute privilege of presenting a brand spanking new 3D-printed bionic Iron Man arm to Alex, the most dapper 7-year-old I’ve ever met.” I love it when celebrities do stuff like this. via RDJ on Facebook

If you can’t get quiet enough to hear yourself, your life is too loud. -Terri Guillemets
