It’s time to pay it forward.
Because sometimes mama needs a timeout. A little time to kick her feet up. Some pampering in the middle of a busy day. A few minutes to get lost in a magazine. A moment to indulge in a treat that she doesn’t have to share.
I’ve certainly been there, needed that!
So when I stopped by Walmart over the weekend during the nationwide Share a Coke event, I knew just how I wanted to #shareitforward.
With a little help from these Coke guzzling guys…
I searched the cases of personalized Coke bottles, until I found the perfect one for my sweet friend and neighbor, Michelle. She’s the one who left a gift bag filled with Coke Zero and my favorite snacks on my van on my 40th birthday. She was the perfect person with whom to share a Coke.
I found a special bottle of Coke Zero and sent sent my friend straight to “mommy timeout.” I can’t think of a better gift for mom than sanctioned time for herself.

I tied the card to a straw tote bag that I filled with some relaxing goodies for my friend: a few magazines, some red hot fingernail polish, a candle, an insulated cup for her Coke Zero and a pretty paper pinwheel straw.
Then I hung in on Michelle’s front door, rang the bell and dashed!And did I mention it was also her birthday?

I’ve found that the smallest gestures often are the most meaningful. And who doesn’t love a personalized gift that shows you were thinking about them in the midst of your day?
If you can’t find that special someone’s name, you should be able to find a bottle or can with just the right sentiment.
