Simple Hack for this Amazing Block

As a designer I find it fun to play with classic blocks and give them a twist. The majestic mountain block has been a favorite of mine.

I’ve created several designs using this ascending and descending block. In fact I’m working on a design right now using this amazing block.

Here are a couple of examples of quilts I’ve made with this block.

I have a quick easy trick to make this block. It just takes to large squares. I often use layer cake squares. Find great deals on Layer cakes at the Fat Quarter shop. Then just sew, slash, and reassemble. Simple huh?
