MAC Talking Points Lip Pencil Review Swatches Photos – Pencilled In Collection
The most beautiful pink lip pencil created in the history of life, like legit, I haven’t come across a pink lip pencil this beautiful , and let me tell you I am a pink hoarder. And a special bow down to MAC to have paid heed to our plea and reformulated the texture of their lip pencil, these babies now glide on like moon on the clouds, no tugging pulling or fighting, and oh so creamy . MAC came out with 11 new shades, with heroine being the only limited edition one, rest all are permanent to MAC’s lineup of lip pencils. I am reviewing TALKING POINTS from the collection, and I also lovee the names that mac has given to this collection, I picked up TALKING POINTS, FOLLOW YOUR HEART, NIGHTANGLE
What Mac claims: Draw decidedly defined lips with new on-trend shades of M∙A∙C’s profoundly pigmented Lip Pencil, now in carbon-copy shades of your favourite lipsticks. The smooth, creamy texture ensures a pristine shape. And to finish off the look, try topping lips with Lipglass in aficionado-approved shades of Ruby Woo, Heroine and Candy Yum-Yum– which are now part of the permanent Lipglass lineup.
Shade: MAC Talking points, is a very pretty hot pink, with cool blue undertones, which has a slight neon touch to it. A sister to the famous pink pigeon lipstick.
Texture: As I told earlier, MAC has finally reformulated the texture of their lip pencils, they are now creamy, and glide on super easily without having to tug or pull on the lips, these unicorns, don’t settle into the lip lines, and feel very smooth and non drying on the lips even after long hours of wear.
Pigmentation – MAC Talking Points Lip Pencil is opaque in a single swipe, but it’s not slippery at all, so you have control and precision, but at the same time its ultra smooth.
Packaging – The packaging is classic, a wooden pencil plain black, and it is a sharpening pencil, these has colour coded bottom, even though it’s a wooden pencil and some people might find it fussy , but truth is we get way more product in sharpening pencils than the mechanical ones, and also if you sharpen it once, it takes you for good 4 to 5 uses before you sharpen it again.
Staying power- this is the best part, I love how this lip pencil stays on really long without any uneven fading or drying out my lips, it stayed on for almost 5 to 6 hours, with a lot of snacking. Even after the actual lip pencil wore off, the amazing stain that it left behind stayed for another hour.
Overall Thoughts
I am a huge lip liner fanatic, I don’t use them to line or shape my lips, rather I use them as a full on lip colour, and I love the matte finish that it gives. As mac came up with an array of new shades, I went gaga and picked up three (the other 2 to be reviewed soon). The texture of MAC Talking Points Lip Pencil is really amazing and so is the pigmentation, and with a number of shades in the range, these guys make it a bliss for pairing it with as many lipsticks as we want, the shade is a must must have for a pink lover like me, you could wear it as your mood, a full opaque coverage when you want to feel all pink, and maybe a little dabbed on stain topped with a balm or a gloss for a more soft look. I don’t really find a con in them apart from the price , like 1400 for a lip liner is crazy , but a girl got to do what she has to, other than that, I am in love with the performance of these lip liners.
