Denim Update: What’s Trending With The Blue Jean

Jeans are having a major moment, but then again, aren’t they always? Denim is a perennial favorite of women of all shapes and sizes, and has been for longer than most of us have been alive. And for good reason! Jeans can be dressed up or down, look effortless yet somehow put together, and always stylish. Tried-and-true styles never fail, but new offerings are pretty impressive as well.

Alison Lang, stylist and President of Alison Lang Style, is a denim aficionado. “Right now, I love Rag & Bone, Current/Elliot, Frame and Paige. But denim is not just for jeans anymore; it has become a popular fabric for shoes and handbags as well. For example, Chanel – one of my favorite brands – has been doing a great job with their denim handbag collection. They also made their classic ballet flats in denim, which of course I must have!”

When discussing current trends, Lang says: “I don’t think skinny jeans are over! There are many different styles on the market and each serve a purpose for different body types. Skinny jeans are not a trend anymore; it’s a standard style that many designers offer. It has become a staple in many closets. If it suits your figure, like any other style of denim, then go for it.”

So, if you’re looking to shake up your denim wardrobe, overalls, paint-splattered, super-distressed, and clean, simple fabric are some of the best styles and trends on the denim market. Here are our current favorites:
