Beauty Empties!

This post has been a long time coming, I have been saving them up ready for a blog post and wanted to save enough to make the post interesting. I love reading beauty empties blog posts, it’s almost like another way of reviewing. I have stored them in my new Bold is Beautiful canvas bag which I got for free when I made a purchase at my Benefit boutique in aid of the Bold Is Beautiful project.

Right first up Bioderma, I literally sobbed when this ran out. OK slight exaggeration but I did feel rather glum! I have since tried to get my hands on the popular Garnier Micellar Water but boy is that a tricky one to track down. Which deepens my belief it must be a good one, I did however manage to pick up the combination green capped one so that should keep me going. Oh Bioderma you are the best, I’m not going to go on about it I’m sure you’ve heard and even tried for yourself.

Liz Earle Foot Repair Moisture smells incredible, I’ve probably had this past it’s time but up until I squeezed the life out of it the scent still smelt the same as when I first tried it. A gorgeous revitalising foot cream that feels lovely and thick but not greasy and when used with the cotton socks your feet are left super soft and smooth! I loved using this when my feet felt hot or sore after being on them all day! Great for the Summer months.

Clinique Happy is one of those classic scents that as soon as you smell it you know it!

Pixi Glow Tonic, now this is the older packaging, the new bottle looks smaller but it is the same size so that’s good. I’m glad they’ve changed the packaging because at the time I bought 2 bottles and one of the pumps didn’t work so I’ve had to swap over the pumps. Having said that I’m still glad I bought 2. So I’m now working my way through another bottle. A great exfoliating toner that reveals brighter looking skin.

Another Micellar cleansing water but this time by Eucerin. The DermatoCLEAN 3 in 1 Fluid is suitable for all skin types especially the sensitive kind. I was disappointed when trying to remove my eye makeup, having said that I found it removed my face makeup easily but I wouldn’t say this had the wow factor. I would pick Bioderma over this for sure.

I received this little sample of the Caudalie Vinexpert Night Infusion Cream when I took advantage of the Serozinc offer from Escentual which is still on by the way. Quick take advantage! I know given the small sample size it’s hard to judge a fair opinion of the product but I did manage a few applications and noticed my skin did breakout. Enough said on that matter.

Now onto a favourite product of mine, it just goes to show that sometimes given the size you just fall in love with a product even after the first use! I’m a fan of the original Deep Sleep pillow spray but after trying the new Deep Sleep Plus Pillow Spray my loyalties totally lie with this version now. They’re both amazing and work very well, for me the sleep plus delivers a faster blend of potent ingredients whilst ensuring a peaceful night sleep. Great if you’re a restless sleeper, this would be a great gift for new parents! Where as the Deep Sleep spray is aimed towards people who struggle to get to sleep. I have a full size bottle on my list.

I’m finally working my way through my fragrance which is a good thing! I have a nice collection of perfumes and love wearing perfume every single day. It lifts my mood instantly and makes me feel ready for the day! I feel naked without wearing fragrance, does that sound weird? I’ve finished Salvatore Ferragamo Attimo, a strong scented perfume that packs a punch in a positive way. I like heavy fragrances like this one, with a blend of soft musks, cedarwood and patchouli it really does tick all the boxes. Sadly I think it’s discontinued now but I did spy on Escentual they have a florale version, interesting!

Right I’ve not quite made my mind up about this next empty, the L’OREAL Magna Mascara has a unique 360 flexible come shapes brush to help maximise upper lashes whilst coating bottom lashes with a special collagen formulation. I found the formula to be rich which is good, however I found the mascara became better after a week or 2 once the formula had dried slightly, I felt the wand picked up too much product. Wouldn’t repurchase.

Some skincare! Yippee, I seriously need to get my finger out and start using up some lotions and potions because my skincare drawer is jam packed! What can I say?! I’m
a skincare junkie, wait a minute I’m also a makeup junkie?! Oh well. Since hitting my *cough* 30s I’ve taken my skincare serious and really take note of what I’m putting on my skin. If you’re in your 30s and you’re looking for a good day cream that offers more than just hydration then the Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream would be a good starting point. It reduces early signs of wrinkles and improves skins structure and hydration whilst protecting the skin.

Last one, is a travel sized self-tan! Yep that’s right you read that right. I decided to delve into the self-tan world and knew I had some generous sized samples from Xen-Tan so reaching for the Sparkle one I thought why not? Well let me just say whilst I enjoyed waking up to a bronzed glowing face and body I did not enjoy the dry patches on my knees. My fault entirely I should’ve prepared my knees a few days before with daily moisturiser. Chances are my knees would’ve resembled the same shade as the rest of me!
Anyhoo, I really liked this product and could see me upgrading to the full size!
Righty-Ho! If you made it to the end you deserve a pat on the back & now go make yourself a cuppa!

Have you tried any of these products?
