February Beauty Favourites

With March just around the corner I thought I best get organised and post my monthly favourites! Sadly I wasn’t so organised last month. I must admit I’m happy to see the back of Winter, I’m enjoying the odd sunny morning here and there and can’t get enough of daffodils, I currently have two vases of them and the smell makes me smile.

Right so I have a nice mix of products to share with you, hair, skin, body and fragrance! Starting with my go-to hair product, Schwarzkopf got2B Allstar is a 10-in-1 product great for people in a rush or if you don’t want to faff about with various different products all working on something different. This one product eliminates, heat protecting products, hair oils and styling. If you are in a rush in the morning this is the one product you need to grab and then go. The smell is gorgeous, infused with peach and jasmine. Hopefully you’ll be as surprised as I was to learn the price is £4.07.

As for body care my favourite product through February was the Palmer’s Olive Body Butter. I’ve managed to work my way through a couple of these and intend to stock up again once I hit Boots. The smell is unlike any body butter and to be honest you don’t need to spend lots of pennies on body butters, this works just as well and it’s affordable. Save your pennies for a good foundation or for skincare.

There’s not a day goes by that I reach for perfume, some days it’s pot luck however I have been using and loving Melvita L’OR Bio EDT a gorgeous fruity floral scent with a clean sweet crispness about it. Unlike a fragrance I own it’s been a real delight to wear, it lasts well and isn’t over powering. Inspired by five wonders of nature, the combination of notes make this fragrance stand out. A great scent to wear through the Spring time, with Italian Bergamot, White Jasmine, Fig-Tree Leaf, Tiare Flower and Virginian Cedar.

I’ve been keeping my makeup to a minimum recently, my newest love affair is with the new Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. A silicone curved wand grabs even the tiniest of lashes and coats them with a rich black glossy formula. Lashes are separated, lifted and curled with ease. This is a cute little sample that came free with the March edition of Elle magazine.

It’s not often I use something solid until it runs out, I’m often tempted by other exciting products but for the whole month I have been using Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream. I have sung it’s praises before but after a long absence I picked it up and fell in love all over again. A great face base that conceals blemishes hides imperfections and minimises redness. 10/10 So happy I have back up. Phew! Oh and it also protects the skin from harmful outside aggressors with a generous SPF30.

I have worn lipstick every day and really enjoyed the boost it gives not only to the complexion but to my mood. My favourite lipsticks are Max Factors Colour Elixir ones. Available in so many beautiful shades. The sleek simple elegant packaging is pleasing to the eyes but the rich moisturising formula pleases me even more. This year marks 80yrs since Mr. Max Factor junior opened the doors to his LA studio, where Norma Jeane was transformed into one of Hollywoods most iconic beauties Marilyn Monroe. Famous for her perfect red lip, I too I have not been ready to give up my red lip just because the festive season is over. Max Factor’s Ruby Tuesday is a beautiful classic red lipstick that suits most skin tones, I recently wore it for my Valentines Day Date to watch Wicked.

My last monthly favoutire goes to the ever popular Embryolisse Nourishing Moisturiser, you wonder why is this one gold? Celebrating their 65th anniversary Embryolisse have released a limited edition gold version. This Famous 24hr miracle cream has been a cult favourite since the 1950s, it has found it’s way onto many photo shoots, television and film sets. So there’s shock to learn that one tube sells every 60 secs. A creamy lotion with 6-in-1 benefits of which include, primer, moisturiser, makeup remover, facial mask, after shave cream and even a baby care product. My skin is still on the dry/dehydrated side so I have been using this as primer over the top of my day cream and underneath my foundation. I have noticed my foundation lasts longer and doesn’t seem to patch as the day goes on. This has now become my cult classic.
