BURNING THE CANDLE

When I drive back home to our country house after a long day in the city, there’s a radio station led by a woman named Delilah who takes requests and dedications from love torn people on the air. It always makes me feel like Meg Ryan in Sleepless in Seattle, because I cry every time. Tonight she told her listeners to look after themselves, not to burn the candle at both ends (“Easy to say. At least I stopped burning the candle in the middle too,”) which is something I need to remember, but find difficult to do with 12 weeks of pregnancy left on my horizon, a new business (more on that tomorrow!) and a busy daily work schedule and wellbeing routine. I appreciate every opportunity to put things into perspective.

How can I possibly do less when there is just so much to create and being created? I sense I must go with this new energy and see where it takes me…
