CAN YOUR TOILET DO THIS?
The first few weeks after we completed our bathroom remodel all my boys could talk about was the toilet. I know…but I guess when your toilet is this cool it develops some hype! One thing we wanted to add into our bathroom renovation were smart products that would make life easier. The Delta Flush IQ Toilet fit the bill. With two young boys, lots of interesting things happen with the toilet. We’ve had toys in there, clogs, and other things happen that we are not going to talk about today.
Last year, I was invited by Delta Faucet Company to their headquarters to learn more about their products and company. You can read about it here. One thing that impressed me was their new Delta Flush IQ Toilet and here is why.
Today, my little guy is helping out here on the blog…
That mischievous look is pretty typical for this guy. Toys are everywhere in our home. They even make their way into the bathroom from time to time. I have a piece of mind about it when it comes to the accidental drop and flush in the toilet though. The Flush IQ toilet has overflow protection. If there is a clog the light is red and it cannot be flushed until the clog is fixed. No overflow issues here. As parents, we don’t encourage playing with toys on the toilet… just FYI *all surfaces were cleaned before the shooting of this blog post.
Another feature I appreciate about the Flush IQ is the soft-close seat and lid. I don’t hear that lid crash followed by “OOPS!” anymore by my kids.
As a human with slight germaphobic tendencies, I really appreciate that this toilet has a touchless flush. You just put your hand in front of the sensor and it flushes. I don’t know too many people who wash their hands before flushing, so this puts my germ worried mind at ease. It lights up blue to indicate the flush.

In fact, the first two weeks after we installed the Flush IQ, the boys just flushed it for fun. We had to put a stop to that one. My oldest dubbed it the bionic potty, so anytime we were out in public he would tell people about it. I think the thrill is gone, and it is just business as usual…that may have been way funnier in my head!! There I go typing before thinking again!
