Dragon drawings. Drawing dragons.

Yesterday I had a surprise visit from the lovely Janine. Janine runs a shop called Meneer Draak - which is Dutch for Mr Dragon, but it sounds much better and more terrifying than boring English 'Mr Dragon' right? I like it.

Janine was here in England with her husband and son, she has four kids and when each of them turns 12 they get to go on their own holiday to a destination of their choice: just them and their parents. Isn't that such a nice tradition? I'm going to be stealing that idea. How nice to be a 12 year old, on the cusp of the dreaded teen years and getting a whole holiday of your parents undivided attention and getting to do what you want. So sweet.

Anyway, back to business - she bought me a gift! A beautiful purse from her shop, what a corker.

And it came in a very exciting paper bag . . .

Yes! I designed Janine a nice dragon pattern and logo for her shop last year and she's started making this beautiful packaging with it.

On handsome brown paper with a red back.

If you're interested here's the full design in repeat. I'm working on logos more and more these days, it's pretty satisfying. There's a few more to go up on the logo page soon, so keep an eye if you're interested. And if you need a logo just get in touch at [email protected] and we can talk. I've done a few hand drawn ones now and some that I've cut from lino - it's an enjoyable thing to do, really nice to see your work go out in to the world and be useful.
