March 2015 Birchbox Swatches, Review & Photos

Did you notice I never posted about my February Birchbox? It never arrived. I got the shipping notification early in the month and nothing ever showed. Since I’d been seeing other bloggers post about their box I decided to email Birchbox to see what was up. After a few days someone got back to me and said they’d send another. A few days later, since I didn’t get another shipping notice, I wrote again and was told by another rep that all of the boxes are sold out. I’d already been charged for March by then so they said I’d be receiving my April box for free and also gave me 100 Birchbox points (which is worth $10 in their store) for the inconvenience, which I thought was nice. I’m SO SAD, though, because there was a gloss from theBalm in my Birchbox for February that I’d have loved to have had.

Anyway, the theme for the March 2015 Birchbox is Creativity. When do you feel the most creative? I feel the most creative when I see bright, pretty things – which inspire nail looks or makeup looks. How about you?

As you open your Birchbox the card resting on top gives you a little explanation and greeting on one side and a run down of what is in your box on the other side.

From amika, Bombshell Blowout Spray. I was super excited to try out another product from this brand since I was such a fan of the dry shampoo in the August box. This definitely adds volume to my style which I desperately need!

From BioRepublic, Aloe Rescue Revitalizing Sheet Mask. This has a lovely, cooling effect that sort of made me wish I’d have waited to use it in the Summer. My face felt nice after and while it says to just pat the extra serum in your face without rinsing I found I did need to wipe a bit off.

From Cargo, Swimmables Water Resistant Blush in Los Cabos. This is a soft tangerine shade and definitely the best part about this month’s box. Soft with a perfect sheen this blush applies well, blends well and lasts all day.

From Embryolisse, Lait-Creme Concentre (24-Hour Miracle Cream). This did work nicely as both a moisturizer and a makeup remover – though even in the winter I found it a little too thick for me as a moisturizer. You need very little, which is good because the sample was rather small.

From Fekkai, Technician Color Care Luxe Color Masque. I’m a Fekkai girl from wayyyy back and the Color Masque has been a fave of mine before. I love that you only need to leave it on for 2 minutes for awesome results. Plus it smells amazing!

This month’s Birchbox shipment was pretty good. My favorite item was obviously the Cargo blush because it was the only cosmetic product in this months box and also because it’s gorgeous. I can’t say I was blown away by the entire box but I do feel it was worth the $10 because I will use all of the products and already know I enjoy the hair care samples.

The thing Birchbox really has going above all the rest is their rewards/referral system which gives you 10 points per review and 50 points per referral. When you get 100 points it equals $10 to spend in their shop – which is FULL of greatness.

Wanna sign up for Birchbox? (Click for referral) If you like what you see in this post go to the website and fill out the form. It’s just $10 a month (free shipping too!) and you get some cool stuff, tho I will warn you, you’re going to get stuff you hate as well. After it’s all said and done throughout the year you do get your money’s worth.

***Disclosure – I buy my own Birchbox, but the links posted here do give me referral points which I can use towards product on the site. Once you sign up for your own Birchbox, you’ll also get a referral code to send out to others and get some points of your own!
