Ready to explore

March 20th marks 5 years of marriage with my sweetie. I'm certain any married person can agree that those first five years FLY by in mere months. When I really think about everything we accomplished in these five years, it starts to make sense, but still. Five years? I don't remember when the day came that I wasn't just a kid anymore. I still feel like a kid in a lot of ways. Five years of marriage, that should classify me as an adult, right? I'll be turning 26 this weekend. And just like every birthday since I turned 16, I'm going to be a big old emo baby about it. Blah, 26. I'm as old as Monica and Rachel's characters in the first season of FRIENDS. I never thought the day would come. Every time I meet someone new and they inevitably ask how old I am (or what grade I'm in), I get the stare of complete shock and the "WOAH...wow" comment. I'm thankful I don't look my age, cause I sure don't feel it. And before you older 20 somethings and 30 somethings, start saying "I'm just a youngin", I know. I am younger than you, congrats! Your comments don't make me feel any better.

For the past year, me and Grant went back and forth trying to decide on a place to go for our anniversary. We spent our honeymoon in southern California and I of course wanted to go back desperately, but after seeing Scotland, we wanted to explore more natural beauty and find a new place neither of us had been. After a few months of price comparison and planning, we decided to see Yosemite together. Grant's dad had gone a while back and shared video from his trip there and I cried openly watching them. Creation is absolutely incredible. I want to see it all! So, mid April, we will be headed to California for our week in the woods. We will also be spending some time in San Francisco since we will be flying in there and we've never seen the city (Full House house and Muir woods are at the top of my list).

So, if any of you guys have some amazing places to see in or near San Francisco and Yosemite, let me know. My list is ever growing and I am pumped beyond words. <3
