It's been awhile since I've done one of these food posts - over a month I think. Crazy how time flies but there was Christmas and time always goes so quick around the holidays. Pablo had his urology surgery on Jan 16th but it didn't quite go as planned. The skin graft didn't happen for two reasons - because his surgeon ran out of time and because his surgeon is hoping that since he removed more scar tissue this time than he ever has before, he's hoping he won't have to do the skin graft in the future. There were some complications that I don't understand which had Pablo in the hospital quite a few times leading up to Christmas. More tests and appointments to come. Besides that, the kids are great and I am swamped with my full time job and part time job(s), etc. The weather here has been really freaking cold the last few weeks and I hate it. Lastly, I have decided to redecorate Simon's room. I am insane but I am okay with that. I am tired of the wall colour and all the brown in his room so I am going to repaint his walls white on the top half and Farrow&Ball's stiffkey blue on the bottom half. My sister Kim just
repainted her kitchen in this colour and she had an extra can of paint sent to her so I can't let it go to waste.... I am getting Simon a new bed frame, bought him new bedding and all accents will be black, white and grey with hints of blue. Now I just need some time to do it....
I have tried some really delicious recipes lately and this first one is heavenly and to die for. Make it and you won't be disappointed. The rest I'm posting I highly recommend as well.
