I ventured out for brunch at Sarabeth’s in Tribeca this past weekend and highly underestimated the weather. I’ve been so antsy to break out some of my new spring pieces so when I saw a high of 42 degrees and a picture of a sun on my weather app, I guess I overlooked the part where it said feels like 34. (Rookie mistake, you guys. Blame my lack of judgement on Spring Fever.) Thank goodness I was on my way to yoga after brunch and had my New Balance sneakers in my bag.. Definitely changed into those promptly after these photos were taken to save my toes from freezing off! (Not pictured: My wool coat and perforated tote!)
My camel blazer is one of my go-to’s pretty much year round. You can wear it with pretty much everything, but it’s one of my favorite ways to dress up a pair of blue (or white!) jeans! No matter if you’re wearing a slouchy tee shirt or a printed silk blouse, it’s the perfect topper. Plus, love how it perfectly matches my go-to straw clutch and my new Vince Camuto wedges!
I picked this one up a few years ago at J.Crew (it’s the Schoolboy style) and it’s still going strong. They don’t currently have a camel colored Schoolboy blazer on their website, but the Regent style is similar with more of a modern cut. (Love this Barley color for spring!) There is also a Thompson blazer that’s similar! J.Crew Factory currently has a navy blazer and black blazer that’s very similar to the Schoolboy style, too.
