The Bobbi Brown New Product Development department are on a roll right now – so much newness coming from the brand, including the Bobbi Brown CC Cream with an SPF 35. My initial impression of this is that the formula is quite dry (it doesn’t look dry, but doesn’t have as much slip as other CC creams I’ve tried) so I think it’s an option for oilier skin types. There are so many ingredients, I don’t know where to start, but here goes! Cucumber, apple and Scutellaria for brightening, liquorice, caffeine and sucrose to calm and comfort the skin, sodium hyaluronate to bind moisture as well as Trehalose and glycerin to help main moisture balance. There’s also barley and wheatgerm extracts to help replenish lipids, and a surprising ingredient, given it’s negative connotations, cholesterol! Used within a beauty product, apparently it helps to prevent moisture escaping. Who knew?
Along with the SPF35 which is a very decent protection level, the key focus of Bobbi Brown CC Cream is to colour correct, so while I have the Warm Nude in the picture above (squirted all over that pristine shirt – sorry, didn’t think that one through and it’s making me want to rush at it with a bottle of Vanish), the cooler toned Pale Nude is lavender coloured and the third shade, Golden Nude, is for deeper skin tones.
