Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur

Instant Fatigue Blur

It’s only when things like this happen that I remember that L’Oreal is a French company. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur is not the ideal name for something that’s supposed to make your skin look less tired – this sounds like it’s going to make you look more tired! It’s just a minor detail – I get exactly what they mean in that it will instantly blur your fatigue, but it’s not that obvious unless you think about it.

I love how they’ve had to put ‘only for adults’ on the packaging, too. Please don’t tell me someone’s been trying to pretty up their baby. This is Maybelline’s first water-based blur cream so you don’t get that massive silicone feel with it. In fact, it feels lovely – not moisturising exactly, but more of a velvet feel as you apply. Saying that, mine has been on my skin for a good few hours and while the initial blur has all but disappeared, it still feels very comfortable and not at all drying.

There are two shades, Cool Rose and Warm Apricot, but while blending out, the colour really does disappear completely so I think it won’t matter which you use. As for waking up the skin? I’m not sure I noticed that particularly, but there is definitely a smoothing effect which is lovely on its own or under foundation. I suspect that Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur is best on skin that’s already smooth and plump (i.e. young) but as a cushioning base between your skin and foundation, it does give an additional smoothing look.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur is £7.99 HERE.
