Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE x Brunette Blogging

“You’re cute and all, but I’m not sharing my coffee”. A quote that pretty much sums up my mood in the morning, and something my boyfriend will confirm without a second of hesitation. Fact is, I’m a longtime lover (or addict) of the black gold, which is why the refreshing Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE suits my style just right. You’ve probably heard of this iced coffee brand before, or maybe have seen people carrying their on-the-go cup in the morning on their way to work. They asked me to share three of my favorite city tips to encourage you guys to go out and explore as well and share three of my favorite Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE flavours. Easy! I’m a city girl and I love discovering hot spots or attending cool events and simply adore the hustle and bustle that cities have to offer. I spent a huge chunk of my young(er) days in Brussels and recently moved back here, so I figured our capital was the perfect choice for sharing my city tips.

Summer is the season I adore most, and what better way to spend a sunny day or evening than on a city rooftop with a stunning view? Brussels has its fair share of rooftop events (Les Jardins Suspendus, the Play Label rooftop,…) which usually take place at Parking 58 or on top of the Crosly Bowling building. Parking 58 remains the best spot up until now for everyone to freely go and enjoy the view all year round – let’s hope it stays that way – so I definitely recommend going up there when you’re visiting Brussels to enjoy a little break and recharge with your cappuccino. The rooftop of the Musical Instruments Museum is on my list to visit soon, since the place looks absolutely stunning. The (private) view I’m enjoying here is only for the really fortunate (or friends of), I’m afraid!

Big cities equal good shopping, but spending a day running in and out of stores and trying on stuff can get seriously tiring (there’s a reason why Carrie considered shopping as her cardio) – so taking the time to have a little bite and drink is a must for me. The area around the Nieuwstraat is a bit too typical for me (but if you don’t want to walk too far, check out the superb Peck 47), I’d rather go to a little further around the area of “Platte Steen” and have lunch at Le Fontainas (great for all things hummus, sitting outside in the sun & a green interior) or Rachel (bagels and burgers, that’s as awesome as it gets). And for the ultimate energy boost, turn to your cold espresso.

No great city can go without some green. Parks are the best places to hang out in on a sunny day with friends, and luckily there are many of these to enjoy. From Cinquantenaire, to the Garden of the Japanese tower or Chinese Pavillion, to Elisabeth Park, you’re always certain to be surrounded by beautiful monuments with a great dash of green. These are just a few of my favorites to chill out with a macchiato and preferably a picknick too. Got any great city tips for me?
