As I mentioned before, I am skipping real flowers at my wedding. Now, some people think this is crazy, but it’s not like I am skipping the bouquets or not having centerpieces, I’m just picking some things that are a little different. My mom was originally excited about doing fake flowers and I toyed around with brooches and pearls, but I have decided to go the direction of paper flowers. They are fun, unique, colorful, and most importantly, pretty inexpensive. I love the fun vibe they create and that I can get the exact colors I want for my bouquets since aqua paper is more common than aqua flowers. I spent about $40 on paper, which will cover 14 centerpieces, 3 bouquets, 10 boutonnieres, 3 corsages, cupcake toppers, and maybe even escort cards if we still have any energy left when all is said and done.
With only 2 months until the wedding (seriously, where did time go?!?!), Kyle and I have been crafting and folding all kinds of paper flowers. I’ll be sure to share some of the finished projects in the coming weeks, but here are some pictures to inspire you in the meantime!
There are so many cute ideas out there for paper flowers, I’m so excited to see ours when they finally come together! While our projects are a little different from the paper flower inspirations above, I love these ideas for a fun wedding.
